Liebe Gerda, meine liebe und leidgeprüfte Gerda!
Dein Leben war schwer, sehr schwer. Doch Dein Sohn Dr. Gerd Naydock zeigt mir, dass Dein Leben einen Sinn hat, auch das Leiden kann einen Sinn haben. Dass ich diese Zeilen nach fast 60 Jahren schreiben kann ist auch für mein Leben so wichtig. Ich wünsche Dir von ganzem Herzen, dass Du im Himmel bist - und das Gott, der Vater des Herrn Jesus Christus Dir alle Deine Tränen abwischt. Du hast einen wunderbaren Sohn geboren und ich, Dein Cousin, freue mich an Deiner Stelle. Es gibt ein erfülltes Leben trotz unerfüllter Wünsche - Du bist der Beweis dafür, liebe Gerda!

Your life was difficult, very difficult. But your son Dr. Gerd Naydock shows me that your life has a meaning, even the suffering can have a meaning. That I can write these lines after almost 60 years is also so important for my life. I wish you with all my heart that you are in heaven - and that God, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ wipes away all your tears. You have given birth to a wonderful son and I, your cousin, rejoice in your place. There is a full life in spite of unfulfilled wishes - you are the proof of it, dear Gerda!
